About Larry Goldberg

Mr. Goldberg obtained his B. Comm from the Rotman School of Business and his CPA, CA designation while working at Price Waterhouse (now Pricewaterhouse Coopers).  His business career began in the early days of the software industry, as the third partner in a software company which was focused on the property management and development industry.  The company became the undisputed industry leader in Canada, grew to over 200 people, and was sold in 1995.

After the sale of the company, Mr. Goldberg continued in financial/operational roles for early stage, fast growing technology companies, before joining a publicly traded investment company with a focus on commodities, as Chief Financial Officer.  During his 10 years there, Mr. Goldberg acted as the CFO for the investment company and two of its investee companies, all of which were public.  In addition, he served on the boards and audit committees of several private and public companies, and was involved in numerous private placement and prospectus equity financings.

Since leaving the investment company in 2010, Mr. Goldberg has held senior financial/operational roles within a variety of industries, including software, energy storage, organic food and financial services.  As well, Mr. Goldberg served for three years on the Audit Committee of the largest uranium producer in the United States, is currently Chair of the Audit Committee and member of the Nominating and Compensation Committee of a TSX listed uranium exploration company, was until recently the Chair of the Audit Committee of a private investment company focused on the cannabis industry and is a member of the Audit Committee of a private cannabis retail company.

In summary, Mr. Goldberg is a seasoned, operationally focused, financial executive with a very diverse experience set including private and public equity financings, debt financing, banking relationships, public markets and regulatory affairs, and board/audit committee membership, across a wide variety of industries.
